The Shared Learning between Austria and Bhutan (S-LAB) project is a collaborative initiative that focuses on promoting sustainability and resilience in the built environment through a socio-technical approach. It aims to address the growing environmental and safety concerns arising from the construction sector by integrating modern building physics, energy efficiency practices, and capacity building. As the first of its kind in Bhutan, S-LAB will establish a state-of-the-art research and training centre dedicated to sustainable construction and building energy performance. The project represents a significant partnership between academia, industry, and government, fostering innovation and inclusive development in Bhutan’s construction and energy sectors.
